During your stay

Day of admission

You will be greeted by friendly staff who will show you to your room. A member of our nursing team will visit you to help complete your admission paperwork.

A member of the surgical team and an anaesthetist will see you before you go to theatre to discuss your procedure and answer any questions.

Your procedure

Rest assured that our surgical team will take excellent care of you. Depending on your procedure, you will see the anaesthetist first who will sedate you, then you will be moved to the operating theatre where our expert surgeons will complete your procedure.

When your procedure is complete you will be moved to recovery, then back to your private room.

After your procedure

Following your procedure, you will be cared for by one of our nursing team. Regular pain relief will be available and you will have access to a dedicated call bell in case you need anything.

Your physiotherapist will encourage you to move to restore your mobility maximise the speed of your recovery.

 

Going home

Our team will continually monitor your progress to assess when you can be discharged home. This will depend on your health and mobility.

We aim to restore your independence as quickly as possible so that you can get back to normal life.

Follow-up appointment

A follow-up appointment will be sent to you so that your progress can be checked.
